Obituary for David Samolinski
David (Corky) Samolinski 60 of Burbank California and formally of Spring Valley passed away July 18 at 9:47PM in Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank California. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be in his honor on his birthday Wednesday September 7 at 10 AM in St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle. Reverend Robert Rayson Pastor of the LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 until the time of Services in the Church. The Burgess Funeral Home of LaSalle is in charge of the arrangements. He was born on September 7 1950 in St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle to Chester (Butch) and Lottie (Biniek) Samolinski of LaSalle. He attended LaSalle Peru High School where he excelled in Wrestling in which he received many honors. He served in the Marines from 1968 to 1970 He married Rosemary Baracani in 1974 in Spring Valley. He later married Sharon Lamson in 2003 California. He was employed by Hobbs in Spring Valley, Trovero Construction, Owned and Operated the “Roosters Roost” Bar in Spring Valley from 1980 to 1985. He was an Iron Worker in Illinois and later in California for 27 years until his retirement. Survivors: Wife: Sharon in California 1 Daughter: Ivy Samolinski of Spring Valley. Mother: Lottie of LaSalle 1 Brother: Dale (Gloria) Samolinski of Peru. 2 Nieces: Lisa (Ross) Weber of Peru, Melissa Samolinski of Peru. 2 Great- Nieces: Jessica Weber of Peru and Jasmine Samolinski of Peru 1 Great Nephew: Ross Weber of Peru. Proceeded in Death by: His Father, a brother in-law, a sister in-law, and twin nieces.
