Obituary for David Placher
David Placher 60 of La Salle passed away Thursday July 19 at 3:50 AM in Aperion Care in Spring Valley. A memorial service will be Tuesday July 24 at 7 PM in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. Pastor Scott Fulkerson will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 PM until the time of services.
He was born on March 3, 1958 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to Oscar and Elsie (Klingbeil) Placher.
He served his country through the branch of the Airforce.
He was employed throughout the years by; the LaSalle Public Library, Illinois Food Center, and Adrian’s Service Station.
He enjoyed listening to classic rock. At times he would play his guitar to the music. He was a member of the local band “Hit and Run. He had a great appreciation and love for his family and friends. Parts of his legacy will be his sense of humor, always having time for food and drink, being outside mostly walking along the river and being an avid Cubs and Bear’s fan.
He is survived by:
2 daughters; Megan Placher of LaSalle
Ashley (Josh) Guerry of Eureka IL.
3 brothers; George (Cheri) Placher of Lafayette Louisiana,
William (Chris) Placher Cornelius Oregon
James (Julie) Placher of Peru, IL.
1 sister; Dianne Keyt of LaSalle
