Obituary for David Lee Pangrcic
David Lee Pangrcic 72 of Peru passed away peacefully on Saturday June 1st, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral mass will be Monday June 10th at11at St. Valentine Church, in Peru. Father Small of Peru Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be Sunday June 9th in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle from 4 to 8, with a rosary at 7:30. Additional visitation will be Monday in the church from 10 until the time of services.
He was born on July 17, 1951 at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle to Rudolph “Rudy” and Agnes (Ajster) Pangrcic.
Dave married the love of his life and best friend, Victoria Sondgeroth on September 1st, 1973 at St. Roch’s Church in LaSalle. Fr. Richard Fitzsimmons officiated.
He was employed by Sundstrand in Peru, and later for twenty three years he was employed and retired from Illinois Cement Company, in LaSalle.
He was a member of St. Valentine Church. He had a passion for doing woodwork. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. His greatest love and joy was being with his family and friends.
Remaining to cherish his memories are: his wife (Vicki) of fifty years. His children: Jennifer (Richard) Hartt, Amy (Derek) Bonnell, and Joseph (Nina) Pangrcic.
He adored his eighteen grandchildren: Spencer (Madi) Evans, Brody and Macy Hartt, Hannah (Michael) Templeton, Devon, Lily, Gabriel, Anna, Max, Sam, Dominic, and Ben Bonnell, Molly, Maddy, Mason, Miles, Miller, Mia Pangrcic.
His adorable great-grandchildren: Laikyn, Hunter, Eddie, Eliza, and Paisley.
His siblings: Germaine, Ann, Mary Kay, Paulette, Greg, Mike, and Rob.
Many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: his parents Rudy and Agnes, one brother Jerome (2016), and a grandson Thomas Bonnell (2009).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities.
