Obituary for Darlene Stasiak
Darlene Stasiak 81 of Peru passed away peacefully on October 26 at Goldwater Care in Spring Valley. A funeral mass will be Wednesday October 30 at 11in St. Hyacinth Church LaSalle. The Very Reverend Tom Otto Pastor of LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 10 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Homes in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
She was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle on May 19, 1943 to Joseph and Josephine (Geraci) Roebuck.
She married Robert Stasiak on May 20, 1961 in LaSalle. Her and Robert spent forty eight years together until he passed in 2008. They had one son, Michael who she adored and was so proud of all his accomplishments, until his untimely death in 2024.
She was employed by Westclox in Peru and People’s Hospital in Peru. She loved just being a homemaker. For over fifty years she was a member of St. Hyacinth Church.
She is survived by: her daughter in-law Araceli Stasiak of Utica.
She is preceded in death by: her husband Robert, her son Michael, her grandson Clifford (2019), one brother Joseph Jr., and a brother in-law Raymond (2019).
