Obituary for Carol Ernat

Carol Ernat, 86, of LaSalle, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday April 7th in her residence. A funeral mass will be Thursday April 13 at St. Hyacinth Church La Salle at 11. Very Reverend Fr. Paul Carlson, Pastor of Holy Family Church in Oglesby will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to husband (Harry) at St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.

Carol was born on December 7, 1936 at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle to Anthony and Ruth (Gillan) Krzyzek.

She married the love of her life Harry Ernat on September 15, 1966 at Holy Trinity Church, in Cherry IL.

She devoted her life of being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a homemaker to her family. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church. She was always at peace when sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She loved cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed the summer months by gardening. She cherished being around family and friends, but most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by: Two Sons; Brian (Laurie) Ernat of LaSalle, and Gary Ernat. One Daughter: Sheila Jackson of Peru.

Ten grandchildren, Four great children and One soon to be here. Three brothers and Six Sisters. Many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: Her husband (2006), One daughter (Linda 2022), one brother, and one sister.

Per Carol’s wishes, in lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
