Obituary for Carol Ann Renkosik
Carol Ann Renkosik (née Seghi), lifelong resident of the Illinois Valley, passed away peacefully at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL, surrounded by her family on December 30th, 2022, at the age of 83.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday January 4 at 10:30 in St. Valentine Church in Peru. Fr. Small will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is handling the arrangements.
Carol was born on September 7th, 1939, to Armondo and Jane (née Piaseczny) Seghi of Cedar Point, IL.
She was a graduate of La Salle Peru Township High School. She worked for Westclox, May's Drugs, Revco Drugs, Osco Drugs, and her brother's meat market during her life.
She was wed to the love of her life, George L. Renkosik, on February 2nd, 1957, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in La Salle, IL.
Carol is survived by her son, Doug (Kathy) Renkosik; daughter, Deborah Woods; grandson, Nick Renkosik; granddaughter, Lauren Borisek; great-granddaughter, Natalie Jo Allen; and sister-in-law, Debbie Seghi.
She is predeceased by her husband, George Renkosik; her brothers, Monte, and Ray Seghi; and her parents.
Carol was a devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time her family. She was an excellent cook and baker and so dearly loved caring for her husband during their fifty-eight years of marriage. Carol was also a devout member of St. Valentine's Church in Peru, IL. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
