LaSalle died at 7:45 p.m. July 12, 2022,
in ST. Margaret’s Hospital Spring Valley, IL.
The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family,
Private graveside services
will be held at St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
Full military rites will be conducted by the LaSalle / Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group
There will be no visitation.
He was born June 16th 1927, in Centralia IL.
to Frank and Mary (Weiler) Novak.
He married Florence (Lasik) on Feb. 18th
1949 in St. Hyacinth’s Church LaSalle.
Byron served in the U.S. Navy in W.W.II,
SeaBees, Construction Battalion, in the
South Pacific.
He worked at the H.D. Hume Co. Of
Mendota for 48 years.
He was a member of St. Hyacinth’s
Church, Catholic War Veteran’s and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife
Florence, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors are one son James (Cheryl) Novak
of Michigan; one daughter Mary Jane Novak
of Arizona; four grandsons; 3 step-grandchildren;
8 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.
