Obituary for Burt Hess
Burton Hess 88 of La Salle and formally of Utica died Friday December 14 at 11:30PM in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be at a later date. The Burgess Funeral Home in Utica is assisting the family.
He was born on October 31, 1930 in LaSalle to Eugene and Christine (Rosencranz) Hess
He served his country and was recalled during the Korean War in the Air Force.
He married Alodia Espinoza on August 25, 1962
He worked for Bakelite in Ottawa for several years. He served as the Sexton for Oak Hill Cemetery in Utica for many years.
He is survived by:
1 sister: Nancy (Ted) Pankoke
3 grandchildren (Sara, Jason, and Johnny). 6 great grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
He is preceded in death by:
His wife (1976), 2 sons (Roger 2012 and John 2017), 1 sister Betty Jones, 2 brothers Leslie and Richard Hess.
