Obituary for Brian M. Kelly
Brian M. Kelly 58 of Utica passed away January 20 at 8:00 AM in OSF Peoria.
A funeral service will be held Friday January 25 at 2:00 PM in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. Pastor Oscar Shepherd from Faith Assembly Of God Church in Peru will officiate.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home Friday from 11 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Utica. Full Military Rites will be done by the Utica Veterans Group. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is assisting the family.
He was born on February 26, 1960 in Aurora Illinois to Patrick and Marjorie (McLaughlin) Kelly.
He served his country through the Navy.
He married Jill Bannister in Eureka California on July 17, 1979.
The Lord and his family were his first priority. He loved all aspects of life especially being outdoors with his 6 grandchildren. Another favorite of Brian’s was hunting and riding his Harley. Brian also loved to cook and be in his garden.
He worked for Illinois Constructors Corporation in Elburn, IL. for over 20 years as a Superintendent. He was a Union Iron Worker for Local 444 out of Joliet Illinois for over 30 years.
He is survived by: His wife, his parents,
1 Daughter: Marianne (Josh) Monterastelli of Utica
1 Son: Kevin (Maggie) Kelly of Ladd
6 Grandchildren: Isriel, Hunter, Kaden and Mia Monterastelli, Maci and Karson Kelly
1 Twin Sister: Veronica Kelly Gehant of Utica.
3 Brothers: Steven (Lisa) Kelly of CO., Tim (Tammy) Kelly of TN., Robb (Tracie) Kelly of Mendota.
Several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: A sister Barbara Kelly (Sept. 2002), his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities.
