Betty Wagner 93 of Deer Park Twp passed away April 6 at 1:20AM in Parker Rehab Center in Streator. A funeral service will be Tuesday April 11 at 10:30 in the Burgess Funeral Home in Utica. Pastor Paul Bladen of the Deer Park Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Deer Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday April 10 from 5 to 7 in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 until the time of services.
She was born on December 5, 1923 in Ottawa to Julian and Eloise (McKinley) Beach.
She married Lyle Wagner on January 21, 1945 in Ottawa.
For the duration of World War II she was employed at the Ship yard in Senica. For 20 years she was employed by the Deer Park Grade School as a secretary. She was a farmer her entire life.
She a member of Deer Park Community Church and there Lady’s Mission Organization
. She is survived by;
2 Sons: Donald (Helen) Wagner of Ottawa and Larry Wagner of Tampa Fl.
1 Daughter: Lillian Wagner of Riverview FL.
1 Sister: Dorothy Teter of Stewart FL.
2 Grandchildren Chad Gerding, Ray Humpage
4 Great Grandchildren Caitlin and Jack Gerding, Sam and Sean Humpage
She is preceded in death by: Her husband in 1997, and a sister (Judy)
