Barbara A. Nowak 81 of LaSalle passed away June 13 at 4:39 PM at Heritage Health Center in Peru. A funeral mass will be Saturday June 22 at 11 AM in St. Hyacinth Church. Fr. Gregory Jarzombek and Fr. Robert Rayson will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation in the church on Saturday the 22nd from 9 AM until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
She was born on September 19, 1937 in LaSalle to John and Sophie (Stachowiak) Nowak.
She was a graduate of St. Hyacinth School in 1951. She went to St. Joseph Commercial High School until 1953.
She was employed by Illinois Bell CO., later AT&T for 40 years.
She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church, St. Hyacinth Altar and Rosary, and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by cousins, friends and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister (Genevieve) in 1998.
