Perra Obituary
Arthur J. Perra 91 of Peru passed away Sunday January 10 at 8:24AM in Proctor Hospital in Peoria. A funeral mass will be Friday January 15 at 10 in St. Valentines Church in Peru. Monsignor Brian Rejsek will officiate. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery in La Salle. Full military rites will be conducted by the La Salle /Oglesby Veteran’s Group. Visitation will be Thursday January 14 from 4 to 8 with a rosary at 7:30 in the Burgess Funeral Home La Salle. Additional visitation will be in St. Valentines Church Friday from 9 until the time of services.
He was born on October 25, 1924 in La Salle to Joseph and Theresa (Jendrasek) Perra.
He served in the Navy and was a veteran of WWII
He married Lori Rieker in Las Vegas NV on March 16, 1992
He worked for Harper-Wyman in Princeton for over 40 years as tool and die foreman.
He was a member of St. Valentines Church, a member of the VFW in La Salle, and the St. Stephen’s Society of La Salle.
He is survived by: his wife
3 sons: Joseph (Cindy) Perra of Peru, Robert (Lisa) Perra of Whittier CA, Arthur Scott Perra of Peru.
3 daughters: Lynn (Dan) Kuhn of McNabb, Theresa Perra of Peru, Dee Dee Perra of Peru,
and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, and a neice.
He is preceded in death by 3 sisters.
